The company was founded in Trento, South Tyrol in 1979 and renamed "Engo" in 1982.

The first ice resurfacer was designed and put into production in 1980.

In 1997, the exclusive quick blade changing system was developed and patented.

In 2010, the innovative PPS flexible ice rink dasherboards were launched.

Since then, Engo has manufactured and sold various types of ice resurfacers, innovative ice rink board systems and related accessories across Europe and beyond, serving various ice sports events for over 40 years.

In 2018, Engo was acquired by TechnoAlpin, a world-leading enterprise in the ice and snow industry, and became its subsidiary. Leveraging TechnoAlpin's strong innovative ice and snow technologies, complete after-sales service system, global service network and extensive experience in ice and snow event support, Engo has embraced greater development opportunities.

Meanwhile, in response to the growing market and local service demands, TechnoAlpin Snowmaking Equipment (Sanhe) Co., Ltd. and TechnoAlpin Ice and Snow Equipment Zhangjiakou Co., Ltd., subsidiaries of TechnoAlpin in China, on the basis of introducing world-class snowmaking technologies, serve as a channel for Engo brand. They introduce advanced ice sports equipment and manufacturing technologies of Engo, providing better localized consultation and services for customers in China. The business scope includes Engo ice sports equipment, dasherboards and supporting ice sports products, bringing more practical benefits to customers.

The two service centers are fully furnished with complete supporting facilities, equipped with large indoor equipment storage centers, independent and complete spare parts warehouses, professional after-sales technical service teams, standardized after-sales service systems and efficient logistics support systems.
